UAE Showcases Advanced Defense Technologies at EDEX 2025 Pavilion

The United Arab Emirates has inaugurated its national pavilion at the Egypt Defense Expo “EDEX 2025,” held under the patronage of  President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, from December 1 to 4, 2025, at the Egypt International Exhibition Center in Cairo. The pavilion features seven leading UAE companies in the defense and advanced services sector, reflecting the UAE’s commitment to strengthening international cooperation and advancing its defense industry.

The opening ceremony was attended by senior officials from both the UAE and Egypt.

The UAE pavilion is supported by the Defense Empowerment Balance Council, in cooperation with the UAE Ministry of Defense and organized by ADNEC. Participating entities include the Defense Empowerment Balance Council, EDGE Group, Calidus Holding, GAL Global Aerospace & Logistics Services, AMREC Military Advanced Maintenance and Repair, the official UAE Armed Forces magazine Al-Jundi, and ADNEC.

The Defense Empowerment Balance Council plays a pivotal role in supporting defense acquisitions, ensuring alignment with long-term national capability requirements, promoting industrial localization, attracting strategic foreign investments, and integrating UAE companies into global original equipment manufacturer (OEM) value chains. The council also oversees specialized defense industrial zones, high-quality manufacturing infrastructure, and strategic programs supporting research, development, and innovation, including dual-use technology adoption and collaboration between government, industry, and academia.

The UAE pavilion showcases the latest defense and security solutions, enhancing the country’s international presence and providing opportunities to expand access to global markets and build strategic partnerships. EDGE Group will present a wide range of innovative solutions across five main sectors: precision-guided munitions, naval platforms, autonomous aerial platforms, weapons and munitions, and secure communications. Calidus Holding will display its latest fully UAE-developed and manufactured defense products across three integrated sectors: space, land systems, and missile and defense systems, including the notable MATV armored combat support vehicle equipped with the AlHeda rocket launcher.

ADNEC focuses on promoting its international engagements and upcoming editions of major events, including the Unmanned Systems Expo (Yomex), Simulation & Training Expo (Simtex), the International Security & Risk Management Exhibition (ISNAR), and future editions of ADEX and NAVDEX 2027, making the pavilion a hub for networking and knowledge exchange in the global defense arena.

Visitors at the UAE pavilion will have the unique opportunity to interact directly with senior engineers, specialists, sales representatives, and top leadership, gaining insights into the showcased defense capabilities, the strategic thinking behind their development, and their operational applications and advantages.

The UAE pavilion is located in Hall 3 at the Egypt International Exhibition Center in Cairo, inviting military officials, decision-makers, and official delegations to explore the latest defense products and services and discuss opportunities to strengthen international defense and security cooperation.
